Orange Weather Alert in south west France
Météo France has placed six departments on orange alert this morning. Haute-Garonne, Tarn and Herault are expecting strong winds and are on Orange Alert for this, while the Gard, Haute-Garonne and Pyrénées-Orientales have been placed on Orange Alert for heavy rain and flooding.
Strengthening of the Autan wind will affect the Black Mountain area, with wind speeds up to 130 kmh and from Carcassonne to Toulouse with winds reaching up to 110 kmh. In areas expecting heavy rain, forecasters are predicting up to 150mm in sustained and heavy downpours, with up to 200mm in mountain areas.
