Taxi drivers strike in France and Toulouse
Wednesday 29 July sees a strike by taxi drivers across France, organised by ten unions representing thousands of drivers.
The strikes will involve blockades and convoys targeted at airports and city centres, so expect serious congestion around Toulouse-Blagnac and the Toulouse city centre.
Paris is expected to be the worst affected, but with so many drivers involved, disruption will also occur in Lyon, Marseille and Toulouse.
The drivers have a number of complaints including increased competition from private car hire firms and are seeking financial help from the government with rising fuel costs.
If you are flying out of Toulouse tomorrow, it would be advisable to allow extra time to get to the terminal and anyone arriving should expect delays in getting out of the terminal area.
