Tomorrows French general strike action will affect travel to and across France

Flights to and from France are going to be seriously disrupted tomorrow, due to the strike against pension reform.

Due to it’s location in Europe, many other flights that would normally use French Air Traffic Control are going to be either disrupted or cancelled, so if you are planning to fly within Europe, it is worth checking with your operator now.

Ryanair has already cancelled a large number of flights crossing French airspace and delays are to be expected.

Easyjet have been told by French Air Traffic Control to reduce the number of flights scheduled for tomorrow.

There does not appear to be any disruption to ferries, with no mention of strikes on either the port websites or ferry operators.

Public transport in towns is likely to be disrupted with bus and tram operators taking part.  Also workers at SNCF are expected to support the strike, causin major delays on the rail network.

If you are planning to travel anywhere in or through France tomorrow, then the simple advice is to contact your operator.  If you can reschedule and travel another day, it would be advisable.
