Events in the Midi-Pyrenees of South West France this week  July 2010

This weekend sees the last two nights of the Cahors Blues Festival in the Lot department, the final weekend of Latino Roc in Cauterets in the Hautes-Pyrenees and the last two days of the Millau Jazz Festival in the Aveyron.  Some great bands and performances if you are in the area.

Also in it s final couple of days is the Country Festival in Mirande, Gers, with music, American cars and much more.

The Festival Comminges, a festival of classical music started yesterday with the opening concert in Cathedral of St Bertrand de Comminges and continues for the next month and a half  in beautiful settings.

For more modern music, the 31 Notes of Summer Festival holds concerts all over the Haute-Garonne department with music for all tastes.

Continuing the Summer theme, the beach is now open in Toulouse, with sand, beach volleyball and sun loungers!  Who needs the Mediterranean?

For motor sport fans, don’t miss the Rallye Montagne near Mazamet in the Tarn.  The annual event includes both road and rally stages in the beautiful Black Mountain area.
