Vic’s Big Walk

Regular visitors to the site will know of Vic’s Big Walk for pancreatic cancer research UK.  Vic is walking from Puivert in the Aude to Blackpool where he was born, taking seventy days to complete the 2000 kms and arriving at the house he was born in on his seventieth birthday.

Vic has now completed his eighth week of walking, covering over 1600 kms so far and is on track to reach Blackpool on his birthday.

Today, Vic received a very generous donation from a friend.  This single donation of £540 has taken his total to £5,576.72, which is seventy nine percent of his £7000 target.

Vic has twelve days to go and it would be fantastic if he could reach his target before he arrives, so if you can possibly donate, however small the amount, then please go to his Just Giving page.

Steve Masters, riding the Tour de France route in aid of the Royal British Legion

Steve and some friends are riding the entire Tour de France route, three days in front of the actual event, aiming to raise £5000 for the Royal British Legion.

The cycling has been hard and the days long, but they are still on target.  With the long hours and sometimes intermittent internet access, the updates are occasionally slightly behind, but you can catch up with the latest progress in our group page

Steve has currently raised £1,353 of his target and would really like to reach £5000 before he arrives back in Paris.  If you can find a small amount to give, his Just Giving page is available for making online donations.
