Vics big walk for Pancreatic Cancer Research UK
Vic Heaney is walking from Puivert, Aude to Blackpool in aid of Pancreatic Cancer Research UK. He aims to complete the walk in seventy days, arriving at his town of birth on his seventieth birthday, on 23 July.
Vic has now completed the French half of his long walk, having covered a staggering 1219.5 kilometres and is now safely across the channel and today walking from Portsmouth to Kilmeston.
The full UK schedule for the walk is in the image gallery on the right. Vic would love to meet well wishers on his way, so if he is passing by, why not send him an email and arrange a suitable location to meet. Simply use the contact form on this page and the email will go direct to Vic.
He has so far raised £4656.72 of his £7000 total and is hoping to receive more donations as he continues on his way.
All the reports from his French half are in the Vic’s Big Walk group in MyGuide2, plus links to his Just Giving page where you can make online donations.
Vic is making a fantastic effort and deserves all our support. Any donation, however small is gratefully accepted. We must not forget his constant companion, Gay, without whom the walk would not be possible. She is doing a fantastic job, driving the motorhome, planning the routes, cooking and washing etc, leaving Vic to concentrate on the walk.
Keep up to date with Vic’s progress in our Vic’s Big Walk MyGuide2 group.
