The number of people interested in purchasing a property in France has risen substantially over the past two months, with the strengthening pound and the availability of good French mortgage deals being given as the reasons.

A leading mortgage broker stated that May has been the busiest month for enquiries for the past year with the number of Britons looking to purchase up by seventy two percent.

Local French estate agents are also reporting strong interest from foreign buyers, particularly British and with the current weakening of the Euro, the Eurozone base interest rate is likely to remain low. 

Prices in France are beginning to show a strong recovery after two years of decline, which is attracting foreign investors back.
