France remains the number one choice for European holidays
Despite the poor exchange rate and recession hit finances, France is still the number one destination in the Eurozone.
A co-operative travel report has shown that fourteen percent more customers are holidaying in France this year compared to last while other areas have seen their tourist numbers decline.
Part of the success is credited to the success of Television programs featuring French chefs such as Raymond Blanc and Jean-Christophe Novelli, who portray the idyllic, relaxed country way of life that so many Britons seek.
The official figures for tourist numbers during 2009 showed that the number of visitors to France fell by six percent in 2009, but France remained the number one tourist destination with 74 million foreign visitors each year.
