Events in the Midi-Pyrenees of South West France this week 11 June 2010

Vics Big Walk from Puivert in the Aude to Blackpool continues and it would be great if you could show your support by sending Vic a message or even better, donating to the cause.  Vic’s first wife died from pancreatic cancer, so all money raised is going to Pancreatic Cancer Research UK.

Local artist, Sylvie Marin is exhibiting some of her paintings in La Barthe de Neste Tourist Office during the whole of June.

If you are a budding musician, then why not get down to the open mike sessions at Le Rendez-vous bar in Leran, Ariege.  Everyone is welcome with a special 10€ menu available on jam nights.

From today until the end of the month, the Eclats de Voix Festival is being held in Auch, Gers, featuring a range of music and theatre.

For lovers of musical, there is a series of performances of West Side Story in Toulouse starting this week.  The show is slightly different, in that it is performed by teenagers that have enrolled in music and drama course, tutored by professionals.

The Skabazac Festival takes place this weekend in Rodez, Aveyron, with the headline group Cypress Hill.  The Festival is now well established in the European Festival scene.
