Events in the Midi-Pyrenees of South West France this week 21 May 2010

I am going to start with a charity event that is taking place at this very moment.  Vic Heaney is walking from Puivert in the Aude department to Blackpool in aid of Pancreatic Cancer Research UK with the aim of raising £7000.  Have look at his progress and donate if you can.

If you are into silent movies, then don’t miss the Festival d’Aneres in the Hautes-Pyrenees, with a whole host of movies and other entertainment planned.

Every year, Cahors holds a festival based on a country theme and this years is based around Argentina -  Festival Visages d'Argentine, with music, dance, theatre and more.

If you are in the Haute-Garonne, there is a flower sale in Fos and in Gers the Marche de Rosiers takes place in La Romieu.  Both great places to find plants fro the garden.

For a more serious theme, our regular financial advisor, Rob Hesketh of France Financial, is holding a financial seminar in Brugairolles in the Aude department on the 8^th of June.  The seminar is free and includes guest speakers, but you need to book to guarantee a place.
