Snow reports from Midi-Pyrenees ski resorts across the region
This is going to be the last report from Guide to Midi-Pyrenees for this season. Over the past week, the weather has definitely changed and turned more Spring like. In fact the temperature at Pla d’Adet base station in St Lary Soulan, on Saturday, was a staggering nineteen degrees!
There has been no new snow since the 10th March and with the warm weather, the base has turned very slushy and difficult. If you need your last fix of skiing for the year, go now.
Hautacam has been closed since the storms and Goulier and Mijanes Donezan have now closed due to the conditions. Expect many of the smaller resorts to close very soon and the larger resorts to be not far behind.
I have not included a breakdown of the snow levels as it is changing so quickly. The best advice is to contact the resort before travelling. Details can be found in our ski resort information pages.
This season has seen some of the best snow conditions for many years in the Pyrenees and will have been a welcome boost to many of the struggling smaller resorts. Lets hope that next season sees similar conditions and more investment into the infrastructure.
