Description:
Doctors across France are planning to strike on 11th March.
General Practitioners across France are set to take strike action over government funding shortages. The strike has been called by four separate unions representing medical staff to protest at a lack of resources.
The unions are demanding an extra €3bn to provide extra staff for their increasing workload and improved pay conditions to attract and retain younger medical staff.
The strike is only due to involve GP’s, who have been asked to close their surgeries for the day.
