Description:
Peter Pan English pantomime by The Secret Pantomime Society, in Pibrac, Haute-Garonne, Midi-Pyrenees.
The Secret Pantomime Society was formed by a group of British ex-pats who thought their children were missing out on the Great British tradition of Panto.
The first performance was of Snow White in 1984 and founder members from that production are still very much involved.
This year, the pantomime is Peter Pan and the SPS will be giving six performances. A production of this size takes a large number of people, from the performers, scenery builders and costume makers to the important back stage assistants.
There is always a welcome for new members, you don’t have to be a performer, there are several behind the scenes jobs to get your teeth into and it’s great fun being involved.
The satisfaction of seeing the performances is a great reward for all the hard work of the preceding months. This is amateur dramatics at its best - it's terrific!
