The Forge de Pyrene has two museums, one focussed on the ancient crafts of the area and the other is a museum of iron working.

There are various workshops around the museum with artisans demonstrating crafts from metal work and gold panning to bread making. 

The Museum of Iron documents the extraction, preparation and use of iron ore through the ages in Ariege with documents, photos, objects and tools from the period.
