Description:

The ski area of Superbagneres is located high above the spa town of Bagneres de Luchon, around 90 minutes south of Toulouse.  The ski resort is connected to Luchon via a cable car, taking about 10 minutes to reach the summit.  The ski area can also be accessed by car, following a 20 Km scenic drive from Luchon and there are a number of car parks at the resort.  It is not normally possible to ski back to Luchon and even when there is enough snow, there are no marked runs so you need to know your way through the forest.

The resort is sat on a shelf at 1800 m, giving spectacular views of the Pyrenees mountain range.  There is a children's area with easy lifts and its own snow cannon, easy greens and blues are available in the Techous area, while leading directly from the Grand Hotel in the centre of the resort are some steeper reds and blues through the trees. 

Luchon provides all the facilities of a large town, with pretty tree lined roads and a variety of bars and restaurants giving an extensive night life.  It is also very close to Spain, making a day trip over the border extremely easy.
