Cite de l'Espace is France's space adventure park and is one of the Midi-Pyrenees premier family attractions.  It showcases the exploration of space through interactive shows, discovery areas and experience zones.

Exhibits:

There are many full size replicas of pioneering space hardware, such as the MIR space station, ariane 5 rocket and a Soyuz module. The MIR and Soyuz are open to the public, giving you a feel for life onboard.

Media shows:

The Terradome, presents the history of space and takes you on a journey from the Big-bang to the present day.

Experience the IMAX, a six storey high screen, guaranteeing total immersion in the experience. 

Lay back in the comfortable Planetarium chairs and experience a full 360° display of the universe.

Interactive displays:

There is an interactive control room next to the Ariane 5, allowing you to prepare, launch and then release a satellite all from the safety of Toulouse.

Discover what weightlessness is and why the planets orbit the sun. 

Training area:

The Gyro-Extreme is only for those with a very strong stomach.  Experience just a little of the training that astronauts go through.

Could you walk on the moon?  Try it with the Astro Jump.  This gives the sensation of being weightless.
