The British Consulate for South West France is situated in the city of Bordeaux in the Aquitaine region and offers help and advice to both residents and visitors in the region.  They also offer help and advice for British businesses wishing to operate in the region.

The British Consulate in Bordeaux covers the twenty Southwest "départements": Ariège, Aveyron, Charente, Charente-Maritime, Corrèze, Creuse, Dordogne, Haute-Garonne, Gers, Gironde, Landes, Lot, Lot-et-Garonne, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Hautes-Pyrénées, Deux-Sèvres, Tarn, Tarn-et-Garonne, Vienne, Haute-Vienne.

The Consulate can help with many issues, including:

• Providing help and assistance if you are involved in an accident, hospitalised or assaulted
• Renew and replace British passports
• Registration of births
• Offer support to and assistance to friends and relatives by contacting them for you
