An overview of the airports in the Midi-Pyrenees region
The Midi-Pyrenees is very well served by the low cost airlines, who fly to many of the smaller regional airports. The major carriers use Toulouse as their gateway to the region. This page gives an overview of the airports in the region and the services available. For information on flights to particular airports, click on the airport name.

Toulouse-Blagnac
This is the main airport for the region and ideal for the Tarn, Haute-Garonne and Ariege departments. It is used by the major carriers in addition to the budget airlines. The airport has very easy access, the motorway being minutes away from the terminal and a regular bus service will get you in to the city. From the UK, easyJet, British Airways and Jet2 all fly here.
This is a small regional airport in the Hautes-Pyrenees department. Ryanair operate a twice weekly service to London Stansted and Air France offer three flights each day to Paris. The airport is mainly used by charter companies catering for visitors to Lourdes as part of a Catholic pilgrimage.
Rodez
In the Aveyron department, Ryanair have regular services connecting with both Dublin and London Stansted, Air France connect with Paris Orly and Hex Air operate a weekday service from Lyon.
In the Tarn department, this small regional airport has two return flights daily to Paris Orly and two return flights daily to Lyon. Airlnair operates the route to Paris and Hexair the route to Lyon.
Airports close to the Midi-Pyrenees
Pau
Although actually in the Aquitaine region, this airport is ideal for the western side of the Midi-Pyrenees. CityJet operate a service to London City airport.
Brive - Updated
This airport is just north of the Lot department and is currently under construction. Flights have now been announced between Brive and London City, operated by AirFrance / CityJet. The flights will be seasonal, operating between June and September. In adittion, AirFrance are expected to operate a Paris service starting in July 2010.
Carcassonne
Another airport just outside the region, Carcassonne is ideal for the eastern side of the Midi-Pyrenees. Well severed by Ryanair, who have flights to a number of destinations in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Bergerac
Yet again Ryanair fly here from a number of destinations in the United Kingdom. In addittion, Flybe operate to a number of regional airports in the United Kingdom from here. The airport is well situated for a visit to the north western area of the region, particularly the Tarn, Tarn-et-Garonne and Gers departments. Further updates will appear here as they become available.
Other options
In addition, for those that do not mind travelling further, Biarritz, Perpignan and Montpellier airports are within easy reach and provide an alternative when researching the cheapest flights. Ryanair, Easyjet and Flybe use these destinations.
In the current economic climate, many airlines are rationalising their routes and some of the routes described here may be seasonal or change with very little notice.
