Flagnac is a small village in the Aveyron department of the Midi-Pyrenees region of south west France.
The village was founded in 839 by Pepin of Aquitaine from the Monastery of Conques. Being located between the two influences of Auvergne and Guyenne, it has a mixed architecture with roofs in both slate and tile.
The monks of Conques ordered the building of the Saint Martin church, which has been added to over the years with three distinct architectural styles.
The main attraction of the village is the annual Festival of Yesteryear held at the end of July each year. The festival tells the story of village life at the turn of the twentieth century.
