Museum of Fine Arts, Gaillac, Tarn, Midi-Pyrenees
The museum of Fine Arts in Gaillac was opened in 1934 in Chateau de Foucaud. The castles museum features both permanent and regular temporary exhibitions. The Chateau is built in 1660 in the style of a villa rather than a castle and was generally used as a summer residence.
The exhibitions contain paintings, sculptures and drawings by artist of the nineteenth and twentieth century’s, with many works bequeathed by the painter Firmin Salabert in 1895.
