Description:
The Gallo-Roman villa of Seviac is a classic home of the period, with multiple rooms around a square courtyard surrounded by arcades with marble columns. There is a second courtyard that provides access to the private baths, of which there are two sets. The smaller for daily use and the larger more sumptuous for special occasions. The excavations and careful clearing of the site allow the visitor an insight to the luxury lifestyle of the Roman occupants. The exact dates of when the villa was occupied are unclear, but certainly during the 2nd to the 7th centuries.
There are also more than 450 m² of preserved mosaic floors to admire and most are exceptionally well preserved.
