In November 2010, my 7 year old son was diagnosed with insulin-dependent diabetes. Having now gotten over the shock and read a great deal on the subject, it seems that raising money for research can really improve the future for people with diabetes in particular in avoidance of complications that can occur later on in life. So, with that in mind I am intending to cycle the RAID Pyrenean in June this year. It's 710 kms, 11,000 metres of ascent and must be done in 100 hours!
