Foire Artisanale, Lombez
If you are looking for somewhere to go next Saturday (24 April - (editied by admin)), a little entertainment for the kids, why not go along to the Foire Artisanale, Bio et Gastronomique at Lombez in the Gers.
This ancient town is an interesting place to explore at any time and this Saturday there is an additional excuse to include it in your day-out planning.
The fair will be centred around the historic cathedral and in the adjacent hall, where there will be a wide selection of artists and artisans displaying, demonstrating and selling their crafts.
A major part of the fair will be local and specialist producers: biological products range from cosmetics, oils, medications and soaps to agricultural produce; local and producteurs du terroir will be well represented with a range of charcuterie, plats cuisines de canard (foie gras, confit), conserves, croustades, chocolates artisanaux, confiseries, and much, much more.
For the children there are puppet shows and clowns, a parade with ponies and a horse-drawn carriage, handicraft activities and calligraphy.
The fair opens at 10h and continues to 19h so there will plenty of opportunity to explore all the stalls and then discover the delights of this little town.
